The
beauty of the coast of Portopalo is given by the alternation of long sandy
shores to as fascinating as suggestive bluffs, such as at Scalo
Mandrie, in the town, or such as the Capo
Passero Island, attainable from Scalo Mandrie with services shuttle
and pedalò, that offers its splendid beach, while from the opposite
part, shows an enchantment bluff with caves and ravines illuminated by the
game of lights of the reflexes of the sea on their walls. Continuing toward
west, after having passed the beaches of Pantanello (really
in front of the Fishing Port), Pozzo Ferrera, Punta
Nipro, Pilieri, Cala Sigaretta
and Vallonìa, we arrive to a sandy shore that, for
the presence of dunes and Mediterranean vegetation purely remembers the
typical landscapes of the African coast. We have arrived to the beach in
front of the Tides
Island that, after a small line of rock-cliffs, it continues in
the long beach of Carratois
Rio Point, very appreciated place by thousand of tourists every
summer. |
