Vacanze Daniela is in Portopalo of Capo Passero, the more south country of the Sicily, in tre Syracuse province, so to south to be even itself 50 kms under the parallel of Tunisi. The coast alternates long beaches, characterized by sandy dunes, to tall bluffs to peak on the sea. The inhabited center counts around 4000 residents and has an altitude of 20 meters over the sea. The long Course Vittorio Emanuele crosses it from an extreme to the other, connecting the zone of Scalo Mandrie (famous for its beaches and the archaeological recoveries) and the Fishing Port, heart of the Portopalo's economy, that lives also on the agriculture and the tourism besides the fishing. Portopalo was founded by Don Gaetano Moncada baron, that, at the end of 1700, financed the construction of some little houses of fishermen to own expenses in the zone Scalo Mandrie. However, some recovered archaeological finds testify that traces of human installation in these zone are also a long time ago.
